Hi Wendy, thank you for the response! Yes I am interested in hard money lending because once I get going I'm worried about how the bank is going to view my income being from gambling winnings. Which is what makes me slightly nervous about the whole thing and I would much rather be showing my income coming from real estate rather than gambling lol

I have a 12-door portfolio in Michigan and now live in California. The income has given me a ton of freedom, and it sounds like that's what you're looking for.

btw, I played poker professionally for about 5 years but I don't consider that gambling :-)

I live by way of rent in the upper peninsula of Michigan currently, but I do travel down state about once a week currently on my work trips where I visit several different casinos.

Absolutely that is what I am looking for. Long term rather than short.

I enjoy poker quite a bit but it's not my game :)

Hey my name's Zach. I live in Michigan. I became interested in real estate recently while listening to a few podcasts(bigger pockets and real estate rookie). I realized while listening that this could be a great opportunity for me and I feel that I am in a very good place to begin this journey of learning. I am also interested in potentially becoming a private lender on some deals. I have an unorthodox profession(professional gambling) that has allowed me to stockpile a great amount of start up capital and I hope to slowly start to transition into real estate to build long term wealth. I am definitely looking for mentors/partners as I am very new to this with a total of about 20 hours of podcasts under my belt. I look forward to being a member of this community and talking with you all!
