Wayyyyyy out there. Never thought in my wildest dreams my biggest problem would be finding someone to just call. At this point, I think I may have better luck becoming a GC. Somewhat kidding.

Looking to connect with someone in the area. After sometime searching the site, this is as close as I could find to the region. Live in Pinellas County, FL but just bought a big house with land in the county. It needs some work and I am looking for reliable help in the area. This will be my primary residence once its ready to go. Has some foundation work needed, already quoted with Alpha, but nothing signed. Secondary home on site needs demoed (already have one quote), and a long laundry list of other projects. I am only going to be able to be out there about 8 days a month to work on it and just need good/reliable help. Many of the contractors I talked to on the phone were either not a good fit, or no showed my agent in the process. It is definitely a different way of life out there and that's why we are moving. Any recommendations will help. Kitchen/bathrooms/roofing/electrical or just good empierced GCs with references. Would love to be moved in out there by June/July but its more work than I can do in that time frame with this distance. Can not just drop by after work for a few hours, its 3.5hours away. PLEEAAASEEE google has failed me.

Found a home in Florida my family likes. It is 18 acres and has a second older home on the property that has not been lived in for years. We would like to keep it and fix it up over the next few years for friends and family to stay. Mostly grandma's for our boys. However, insurance companies are saying it has to be fixed or torn down within 30 days to insure. Can not possibly get fixed up within 30 days. But really want to keep it. Are there any creative or less known options for them to insure the property but not look at this as a liability? Don't understand how I can not find a company that will let us buy this property for what it is and the possibilities it has. Thank you.

Morning Ruth, does the offer above still stand? I just seen this today, not sure how I missed it. Will/can your brother do the work? Is he capable of doing small electrical jobs/painting/trim? I would really like the help and will pay fair just looking for good quality work with good communication.

I live in Seminole FL (Pinellas County) and looking for help on my house. Need a contractor for maybe one weeks worth of work. Last two companies I have used have been a joke, just looking to hire and pay someone who is worth the time. Any help works

Fans, trim painting ect. No heavy work.

Will be moving out of my home in the next 2-3 months and just need to get it rent ready. Have lived there for 8 years and have 2 young boys. Need to fix all of the problems having 2 young kids can do to a house. Looking to hire as soon as possible. Out of time and motivation.

Hey everyone!! I am hoping to move out and rent my primary home in the next 2-3 months and need some help finishing it. We are 90% done fixing it up to rent but I am burned out and out of time. Looking for a local handyman, that is very reliable, that can do different tasks.

Ceiling fans/switches/paint/ baseboard/small amounts of drywall repair (around Hvac supply ducts).

Please let me know if anyone has any recommendations. Last recommendation I took off here however burned me on a kitchen remodel, but still trust people here more than google. Looking to pay someone who is deserving.

But I have to know if Art got a job? Post was insane and it just ended everyones comments. I have to know, where is art now?

Post: Property Managment what do they/should they do

Looking to expand out of my current market and still learning and reading. Reading a new book, Dustin Heiner, he says he lets his property managers take care of the rehab of the property? To me this makes sense, but no sense at all. If I find a potential property on the other side of the country, and find a property manager there as well, why are they going to do this? I would get it if I had been a partner for years and they have been managing my business but is this even a question worth asking? Obviously nothing is free, and there will be a cost. But will a new PM take this on? Is this what they do? I do not want to sound like a bafoon asking questions like these so just looking for some feedback. Currently looking in Alabama, if that helps.

@Walter Key I walked away. To many questions not enough answers. I feel like from my limited research there are too many properties going for sale in that area. There are plans in place to fix the problem of lakes disappearing, but no results yet. Wasn't a risk I wanted to take. Could be a real steal if it works.

Before I spend too much time looking into it, is it really challenging finding loans under 70-80k? No issues with down payment or credit. Im in Florida. Anyone know anything?
