Post: REO Listings - Asset Managers

Hey everyone. Im an active real estate agent in the Central Texas area and have been in the business for 7 years. I sell a good amount and have always wanted to break into the REO game. I know how crucial it can be to be in direct contact with asset managers to secure these kinds of listings. Could anyone point me in the right direction in tracking down asset managers?

As Im posting this in the Bakers, Lenders, and Mortgage Forum, Id love any advise or recommendations as well from lending experts!

Thanks for the update @Matt Stricklen Ill be there!

@Account Closed So I have a slightly different perspective on this. Im fine with meeting with anyone and everyone. I used to attend pretty frequently and Ive meet with the whole lot of them. Ive found that over the long run some of the relationships have been quite valuable. As far as sellers wanting to sell, they probably wont be at these kinds of meetings. Im looking for people that can help me put deals together and I say that generally, wholesalers, lenders, other investors looking to partner, etc.

@Kris Wong yeah I have been to Ken Herris's meet ups before. Hes a good host and they are always pretty good meetings.

@Nina Hayden Thanks for the feedback. What would you be looking for when going to meetings? Deals, money, partners?

Hey everyone, It has been quite some time since I posted on this forum and about as long sense I was at an in-person real estate meet up in the Austin area. Im an active investor and Realtor in the area.

Id love to catch up, re-introduce myself, and reconnect with the local investment scene.

I just got on meetup.com and I noticed that there weren't nearly as many real estate investment meet ups going on. Now that's kind of a no brainer due to the current covid situation. But I wanted to see if anybody had any good meet ups they were currently attending in person or virtually they could refer me to.

Also, if you would like to talk shop, please reach out. Feel free to send me a DM or contact me directly via email/phone.

@David Ivy Hey David, do you know what the average duplex square footage and bed/bath count was?

@Beau Fannon that sucks! Sorry to hear that.

Is there a long term fix? A French drain prahaps or another way to redirect the water?

Hey Beau, did you find the help you needed?

What happened?

Is the property in a flood zone?

Post: .5 acre lot in central Austin zoned SF3

Hey @Nick Valo@Andrew Allen is correct. That lot is zoned for SF or duplex.

It’s a good bet that condominiums will bring you your highest return. You may want to find out the feasibility of subdividing the lot. Then you could potentially build 4 condos.
