A lot of the townhomes don’t give you an option of no HOA. And typically i don’t think it includes the lawn maintenance, some might. I mostly buy detached, and in that scenario HOA doesn’t include roof, so I look for low or no HOA. HOA helps also on townhome like properties to avoid conflict between homeowners of repairs and such I suppose.

Dawn Brenengen usually sends a invite to the local meetup that happens once a month. But I think if you set Raleigh as a keyword you should see it also when the information for the Meetup is posted.

Hello all,

Thanks to this site and the podcast to connect me with @Dawn Brenengen. For anyone in the Raleigh area, she is great, helped me analize the properties, closed 2 homes 2 months ago. Very investor friendly. Highly recommended.

Thanks for reading.

Usually you would go to a cheaper place to retire versus a more expensive one, the world is a vast place, I'm sure you can find a place to retire just as nice as the Bay Area in other countries/regions/places. Don't just follow the "hype" :)

Alex, definitely call your insurance and have them quote the insurance, insurance as rental is lower than your regular insurance since it doesnt cover items inside.
