Any opinions on West side? We are considering Forest park, Oak Park. Anyone investing there? That is your feedback?

I am pretty new to the area, Oak Park is already priced pretty high, we are looking at the surrounding neighborhoods that have similar potential. Very interested to hear some opinions on that.

@Rolanda Eldridge, are you using your license just for your own investment purposes or do you actively sell houses to others? It i am going to get it I will only be using it for myself. I know you have to have a sponsoring broker for your license to be active. How do you fondness one of you are not looking to be actively working for them?

I am thinking of becoming a real estate investor and purchase some rental properties. I am a newbie. Would you recommend getting a real estate license first? Is having access to MLS myself beneficial? What are the pros and cons? Will knowledge received studying for the exam benefit me as an investors?

All thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
