@Syeed Lateef,

This is not an endorsement I'm just really excited and enthusiastic about getting involved in real estate and would like to hear about other like-minded folks experiences in real estate.

Thank you Mark Nolan for the heartfelt welcome. Hey Elbert! thanks for responding and yes my very first project is a  flip of a two flat in Englewood. I am very excited because the area is undergoing a lot of development. Whole Food, Chipotle, and Starbucks havw all set up shop here. In addition there is an awesome coffee house called Kushnaya Cafe that was established by a recent Russian immigrant who has purchased properties in the area. I was also very surprised to learn of a five-star restaurant that was established by Washburn school called Sania! Lastly Kennedy King College has torn down their old buildings and redeveloped new ones. They are also buying up a lot of land in the area. All of the liots in and around Englewood have been purchased by the school. Lastly BNSF Railroad is also doing a massive land grab as well. All of these things contributed to me deciding to invest in the area. The group Chicago Action investors are focused in this area as their flips have been selling pretty quickly. I was able to check out one of their recent flips at 6537 South Green set sold during its construction.

Hello my name is Yolanda  I'm a Real Estate investor! Although I'm a newbie and working on completing my very first deal, I consider myself a success and I'll tell you why. A few months ago when I decided to take the proverbial leap into the real estate world, I'll have to admit I was very scared!  Most people fear what they don't know or understand and I was no exception. Like a lot of people, i've always had an interest to be financially independent. I was also excited whenever I saw a show about real estate. I also read somewhere that 80% of wealthy people  became that way through real estate. I decided that the only way to change my situation was to go outside of my comfort zone and be scared. I went to several investor groups but  quickly became discouraged because most of them seemed like they were selling products. Since I had no money that did not help matters. I in the meantime kept reading articles in BiggerPockets. The articles kept me encouraged. I Came across an article in real estate success stories that featured two gentlemen Cory and Zack who were working on their very first flip.they  are part of an investor group called Chicago action investors started by BP member Aaron Vaughn. I attended the meeting and loved it! It was very informative and supportive. Shortly after that meeting that I decided to take action with their support. Much thanks to BiggerPockets for their FREE  informative articles and support that I found I had to pay for on other websitesI would advise anyone trying to get involved in real estate to keep searching and find their niche I did!
