Well I guess the title already asks the question. This is something I haven't been able to find in the forums, and surprised I haven't. My question is: is it possible to assume a VA Loan on a already Foreclosed VA owned home?

Disclaimer I’m not new to biggerpockets but new to actually investing, so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

@David Moore

I like what Clifford said! Where are you located in Cali? I have great Veteran Lenders in both NorCal and SoCal.

@Alexander Felice

He told me that VA Foreclosed homes typically go for around list price but it's also dropped nearly 40k since first listed. It was also previously put up for auction but never sold... haven't been in the house yet trying to schedule a showing this weekend.

@Alexander Felice

Looking into one right now, it's been on for a period of time almost 100 days, have you had any luck with getting good deal like low ballin and such? It's dropped quite a bit from list price and I'd be using a VA guaranteed loan as well.

Scott Graham great topic for a discussion, you story really hits home, because although I do not have my degree I just applied to the local community college out here in Palm Springs, Ca. I will be working toward my associated in Architectural design and transferring hopeful to a UC or Cal State to finish up my degree. To provide some value to this post although I do not have my degree I do have my experience and education through 8 years of Active Service in the United States Coast Guard. In my time in I have developed traits such as determination, ability to learn and master anything I put my mind to, and the unwillingness to fail. These may seem like simple traits but these are traits I believe will be valuable in my REI journey.
