Hello Everyone
My name is William Smith. Everyone calls me "Smitty" (Except my parents)... I am soon to be 54 yrs old and me and the wife looking to get back on the real estate band wagon. We currently have one free and clear rental and looking to scale. I am a note investor with several notes in my portfolio so the goal is not only to get SFR/MFR assets but to have some depreciation for that passive income. I have reading the BRRR book but Im facing some challenges. (Just because Im a newbie and I know everyone else is). I have a full time job working for Motorola (yes Motorola, they are still around) Im a Technical Account Manager with 30 yrs in the business. Wife is a travel agent specializing in international trips . We have a super awesome dope family and its blessing to have both of my parents and the wife has her mom 3 sons plus grandkids. If my bank account matched my family I would be ranked with the Rothchild's!
We have been driving around finding homes that fit our business model (homes in 150 ARV range in low crime areas) but need to know how to possibly find these owners .
So here are my goals:
Meet some great people here locally that I could learn from. I'm mean really shadow and possibly JV if terms are good for both of us. ( In turn could share my note knowledge. All about tradeoffs not looking to just take)
Acquire 3 more properties before end of 2022 (I know we can do it)
How to skip trace after I find properties and best way to market for them
Build business credit with banks
Find local GC's (working on that now)
