@John I actually saw about the Seoul meetup in another forum and just joined the group. When @Richard Harrington arrives I'll be sure to get him up there.

@Chris Parker I also am out of town, i'm living overseas right now but will be back in Bellevue November 2015, and I only lived there for a short time before coming to Korea. We can definitely meet when I get back in town even if i'm there on vacation for a while I wouldn't mind getting together and talking about the area and REI.

I haven't been to either of these REIA groups meetings before but you might want to check them out. Maybe @Owen Dashner has been and can provide some insight.

@Stephen Anthony Thanks for the information, I haven't been active on BP lately and was unaware of that.

@Chris Parker

 Welcome to BiggerPockets, you may or may not already know about setting up keyword alerts. You can set up a notification for when a word you are interested in is mentioned in a post. But, be warned if you put Bellevue like I have most of the posts will be about Bellevue, WA. There is still good information in those posts but just not a local as you might be hoping for.

Post: Should We Make Our Kids Take Finance/Business Classes?

@Scott Trench  I agree with you that Finance should be taught in school.

Basic finance classes should be mandatory for High School students, and while I agree with @Lynn McGeein that all parents and financial advisers follow different advice and guidelines. The class could focus on the facts and teach things like how different financial concepts work such as APR, Compound Interest, Mortgages, Credit Scores, Stocks, Bonds, IRAs.

I don't have any kids of my own, but are there any resources out there already geared towards teaching kids concepts like these? If not might be a good money maker.

I found this on one of the bp blogs and thought it would be use full for you some I don't know much about tax deeds in Texas. The best advice I've seen on tax deed or lien investing is to be familiar with the statute that governs tax sales. If you do an Internet search for Texas tax deed statute to should find it.

Hey Matt,

Welcome to BiggerPockets, I also found the website by accident. There is tons of information available and I don't know if you have found them yet but there is a Podcast that is full of just as much great information for when you don't have time to read the site. I haven't checked it out yet but look at joining the local REIA www.omaha1reia.com/?.
