Good evening BP Community. I'm a rookie trying to break into the market. I have been interested in long-term rentals for some time and looked at fix and flips when I was much younger.  I'm a 22-year Army Veteran. In my 20s I did Construction, Demo, and Remolding for a few general contractors. In 2000 when I went Active Duty, I changed my role to Electronic Maintenance. Toward the end of my time in the Army, I switched again to Information Technology.  I never lost the desire to start my own business and "work to live, rather than live to work". I'm now trying to put my dreams into practice as the kids are aging out of the house. I find myself short on experience and capital. So I'm trying to learn everything I can as I search out my path to gaining the needed capital to get this train rolling. I have been kicking the tires on the videos and tools trying to learn. Any mentorship, advice, and simply fellowship would be appreciated.

As I listen, read, and learn I keep hearing about the BP App. I can't find the BP on the Google Play Store. Can someone point me to the correct app title (if it exists)? I'm currently on BP and listening to BP Daily, but don't see that on the Play Store. I have been watching it on YouTube but can't find it on the Play Store either.

Good evening all,

I live in the 22193 area code. I'm looking to build a professional team. I think a tax advisor who did both personal and business taxes would be a great first team member. If anyone is who could meet this need I would love to discuss it with you.

Shayne,

Thank you for your service and welcome. How was your transition and how do you like the agent life? I'm considering the agent life as a side hustle, for the learning and connections.

Good evening all,

My name is William (Bill) Taylor and I'm new to BiggerPockets and the Real Estate investment market. I retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years, and now work as a DoD contractor as an IT Operations Manager. I'm looking to make my first investment property in the next 6 months (6 months because I'm new, I don't have a lot for the down payment, and I'm not sure what area I want to invest in). I live in the 22193 area code. I'm looking to network and learn from any and all.
