Post: Looking for an agent/broker in the Monterey Peninsula area in CA

Hi everyone!

My husband and I recently moved to the Monterey Peninsula area and are looking to pursue our flipping business up here (quite a change from San Diego) :).

We are looking for an experienced agent or broker who works directly with investors on a regular basis.  We have finally gotten settled into our new home, money partners lined up, and are ready to start making offers to bring some deals in!

Any recommendations or referrals would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Hi BP! Would anyone be able to recommend someone that drafts design plans for a renovation? We are doing a rehab in a house in Carmel (near Monterey) and need plans drafted before applying for permits.

We are only doing upgrades on the inside of the house (mostly kitchen, baths, and floors) and need plans drawn ASAP to meet our timeline.

Any referrals you can give would be great!

Right now it's a $100K budget. Focus is tentatively on three bathrooms and a kitchen primarily, but there is room to flex. We are gathering names at the moment and will be soliciting bids within the next couple months. This particular house is not a flip, it's a family home that we will be living in while in Monterey, but we are going to be flipping in the area as well. Feel free to send any recommendations you have, and we would be happy to start the conversation. Thanks!

Hello Everyone!

I originally posted this in the wrong place, evidently, so I was redirected here. :) I have a house in Carmel that needs to be renovated and am looking for contractors to give me bids on it. If anyone knows of any contractors they would recommend, please send them my way.

Thanks!

Hello BiggerPockets!

My name is Edward and my wife, Kimberly, and I are huge BP fans. We read the blogs and articles nearly every day and have benefited greatly from the advice. We have a fairly new investment business, have done one flip, three wholesales and currently own ten rental units but are in escrow on two more six-plexes and a four plex.

I am in the Marine Corps and I am getting stationed at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA in a few months. We are looking to expand our investments out to there and know that the network is the most critical step. We know no one out there at this point and are not familiar with the area, so any information you can provide on the different areas to invest (salinas, watsonville, santa cruz...etc) and the investing climate of the area would be greatly appreciated.

We are also members of nearly every major REIA in the Southern San Diego area and want to join the clubs near Monterey, so if anyone has any suggestions for good clubs to join that would be awesome too!

Thanks so much and we look forward to working with you guys.

Semper Fi,

Edward Rushing

If an HOA forecloses on a condo, can you still follow through with a short sale on that home? If so, what happens with the HOA?
