Hi Jason,

I have several RE attorneys I've had success with in the past. Happy to talk more. There is a real estate investors meetup next Tuesday (3/21) at 6:00 PM in Springfield, MA that I hope you can make. https://www.meetup.com/Western-Mass-REIA/

Cheers,

Bill

Hi Catie,

Welcome! As Bob mentioned above, check out the Western MA REIA meetup coming up next month. We will be having a Newbie panel where you can ask other real estate investors question on how they got started, meet with other like-minded individuals and maybe even get a your first deal.

Hope to see you soon!

Great information everyone!

@Bob Couture

How periodically should I send these statements to the tenants? Every month or quarterly? (Or more likely, would you suggest having it automatically setup that the bank sends them statements every month on the updated balance?)

Hi all,

I am from Massachusetts, and in this state landlords need to hold their security deposits in interest accruing accounts - Does anybody know any good online banks that provide this service? Or should I look into a big branch bank/ local banks?

Cheers! Bill

@Tristan Chicklowski

Last meeting was great. Springfield, and Western MA has a bright future ahead with many talented investors looking to turn this city and region into a better place!

Also any investors in the area, if you have not done so yet, you should check out and join into our Facebook Group where we are creating a networking location to share deals, ideas and tips!

Cheers! - Bill

Post: Having tenants pay using internet?

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the responses! This certainly expanded my understanding of the topic.

I noticed a couple people used automated clearing house (ACH) allowing the tenant to pay the rent at ease of a computer. And then using the PayNearMe service or a P.O Box if they don't use internet.

Is a combo of these two methods frowned upon?

Hi everyone!

I am debating weather or not having making a tenant pay rent on a smart phone/ or computer that would require internet is ethical.

I would think the vast majority of renters now use internet on the daily and will find this a helpful method.

But, what happens when someone does not use the internet?

Or does not even want to get it, do you then pay for it?

Thanks everyone for reading!

Best, Bill :)

Hi everyone,

I recently got the Audible app for my iPhone and was looking to see what audio books people have listened to on there and which ones people would recommend. I am just finishing up the Miracle Morning which was great. Looking forward to the next one

Best, Bill
