@Dan Hennessy

Thanks for the advice. I am now in the process researching the BRRRR strategy (including reading David Greene's book) and have been trying to focus in on our first market to start this in (either Birmingham, AL or Indianapolis possibly). We have connected with an agent connected with a reputable PM company to assist in this process.

@George W.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely take that into consideration. Having the proper connections with contractors and PM can definitely make all the difference.

@Lien Vuong I wasn’t aware of the agents look up resource. I’ll check it out. Thanks!

I’m an investor from California looking for a investor real estate agent who can assist me with identifying and acquiring good rental properties in the greater Birmingham, AL area. I’m looking for SFRs and hope to eventually acquire some multifamily homes as well down the line. Recommendations are welcome.

I live in California and I’m looking for an investor real estate agent in Birmingham, AL who can be my boots on the ground to assist me with acquisitions of SFRs and multi-family homes as well down the line. I have a property management company I just started working with but am open to looking into other management companies if you’re affiliated with one. Need someone who can be timely with their responses as I bring listings to them. Open to recommendations as well.

@Alan C. and @Beth H.

Thanks for your input! Thanks Alan for pointing those items out to me. I definitely am learning more that I don’t understand enough right now to make a proper purchase and will continue reading and researching. I’m planning to back out of this deal and am in the process of interviewing several PM companies in a couple different markets to work directly with for acquisitions and management. I really appreciate all the advice that everyone on here has given me! This community has been invaluable already and I’ve only been on BP for a couple weeks.

@Chris Clothier I appreciate the advice and perspective. I think that’s great advice for me to be patient when I need to be and good to be mindful of any bias. I understand that I have to do what ultimately works best with our goals. Thank you for taking the time to share these thoughts!

@Joseph Crunkilton thanks for the input. I do agree that I like the turnkey for the mitigation of some risk while I’m first starting out. I’ve been in touch with Zach Lemaster already and he’s been a tremendous help. Just waiting for the right property at this time.

@Zach Lemaster thanks for the response and your continued input. It’s been very helpful to hear from different perspectives and approaches. My goal is to be able to be financially independent in the next 7-8 years. I definitely agree that I need to be honest with my time availability. I’m not looking for an 80 hr work week and want to ultimately be able to spend more time with family while eventually becoming a full time investor. I plan to explore these other methods down the line and become more active as my schedule allows. Networking and building partnerships is definitely key I can see.
