Ned I just joined BP, although I've been following it for a while. I'm from Annapolis and I'd like to join the group. I presume I've missed the November meeting. Will there be a December or postponed until next year?

Small world, I was born and raised in the Annapolis area.  We are buy and hold investors in single family homes. Specifically in class A investments so we can self manage. We invest through two methods, pure rentals, and personals turned rentals. Our goal is for early retirement in 15 years :)

You will love the diverse community and all the resources. So a great place is to look around the blogs, forums and listen to the podcasts for different niches. If you see a post you enjoy check out the persons signature. Many of us including myself talk about our strategies, styles, niches and business model on our website. So definitely check that out as it is an amazing additional resource. For example, my blog is about while working full time, buy and hold investing, 0% Down Rentals, Personal Properties turned rentals, Long distancing investing, self-managing 3,000+ miles away. Definitely list your blog or website in your signature, if you have one. Its a great additional networking source.

Look forward to seeing and connecting with you around!

Thanks for the warm welcome Elizabeth! Annapolis is a beautiful town, I've been here since '75. I tried the self management on 2 properties years ago. It worked, but it was a lot of work. This late in our career I'll be happy to do a couple of rehab flips a year. You know the old saying, "if I knew then what I know now" I would have never gotten out of flips from when I did them in the 90's. Good luck on your early retirement!

My name is Steve Bradigan, I live in Annapolis, MD and I've been following BiggerPockets for a little while now. The Pods are great, recently started at the beginning, I've got a little ways to go yet. I'm not a newbie to the R/E industry nor investing but I am a rookie and slightly behind the times on the investing side. Please see my profile for an explanation. My immediate goal is to reconnect with local Maryland investors that are willing to network and resume flipping properties to the extent of 3-4 per year for the purpose of supplementing our retirement. Kudos to all of those in any field of the R/E industry that survived the recession and are recovering.
