I will be house hacking my primary home and I am wondering that are the implications on Solar tax credit and bonus depreciation?

- Can I take the full 30% solar tax credit if I house hack a portion of the house? If not, how much?

- Since a portion of the house will be a STR, can I bonus depreciate the solar panel installation?

Can I take them both together in the same year?

I realised that I have clocked up a bunch of hours performing activities that lead to buying my house. These activities include shopping for mortgage, communication with lenders, going to open houses, doing comps for putting in an offer, analysing disclosures, and closing activities. Can I count these hours towards the hours required for REPS?

Specifically does going to open houses and finding properties on Zillow count?
