Hello, I am thinking about looking to Invest in Austin area single family residential property in the next 6 months to one year.

I am also thinking about 3 bedroom 2+ bath which may typically within the range of investment.

Since its going to be for Rental, what is the preferred in Austin area for renting out, is it single storey house with 3 bedrooms with 1500+ Sqft or two storey with 2000+ sqft and upstair bedrooms?

Which one rents out fast and is in high demand around the austin metropolitian area?

I am looking at these options since both of these may be within the budget for my investment.

Please let me know your thoughts ?

Thanks

Thanks Much Jake, Scott will DM you.

Hi Judith, this is a rental residential property

Hi everyone,

I'm struggling to find property insurance that can cover my property in sacramento california area. I had one claim earlier due to this getting rejected to cover the property. Any recommendations for reliable companies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can someone provide references to insurance companies that covers rental properties in California. My previous insurance company decided not to cover the property. I am looking for references for both insurance companies that cover rental properties as well as primary residence homes.

Thanks

American Home Sheild in my experience is a complete rip off to the consumers. Horrible experience for me with that company. I had an emergency water heater issue, here how they treated  me

1) They have few plumbing companies they deal with who have horrible reviews and you have to go with them and wait for atleast a week before they can approve you.

2) Once their tech diagnoses it,  Now AHS says installation is not covered and they want to order a water heater themselves which would take many days. The water heater they plan to order was a sub-par brand with many bad reviews. So decided to go with a different company to get it fixed.

3) AHS agreed to cover 30% of the payment if i go with a different company. I went ahead with a different company and installed the water heater and didn't get the check from them for several days. When we call them they say send me the invoice first and we will review it.

4) Every time duirng a call expect atleast 1.5 hours of hold time with zero progress with them. They try to see a way how not to cover and make you run around with many hours of time spent.

5) Completely disconnected departments which would make you run around between them and tell differnet things and there is no email communication or co-ordinated one voice.

6) You are sure expected to get ended up with frustration dealing with them

Thanks much and Appreciate everyone's thoughts and sharing your experience/wisdom.

Thanks Joyce, Any suggestion on what Home warrany companies to choose? I was referred to American Home Shield or Home Select - Any thoughts on those companies or others?
