I am in the Tyler area and looking to get started in real estate investing. I could use some guidance. I have also been working on getting a real estate license via online courses. I had kinda put that on hold, but I need to finish it up.

I am currently taking real estate license courses online via real estate express. My concern is I am not picking up enough information to pass the exam when I am finished. Can anyone recommend a very thorough exam prep to take after I finish the courses? Maybe something with audio or video vs read only? The quicker I can get through the courses and start preparing for the exam the better. Thanks!

I'm in the same area and looking to get started. Do you have any local resources or mentors? I'd love to have someone local show me the ropes.

Since I just got a 30 year mortgage for my own house about a year ago, how should I look to finance my first investment property?

Alexis Austin Right now I want to learn as much as possible. I want to buy and hold some properties to rent and also maybe into flipping. I want to get my first investment property by end of year and work from there. Jonathan Gregori Thank you! Do you have a Real Estate license? Is this something you think would be important? I feel like the knowledge I would gain in getting it would be beneficial.

I recently joined and decided I should introduce myself. I disobeyed this site through a podcast I was listening to on Spotify. I am from the Tyler Texas area and I am looking to get into real estate. I currently have a full time job working for a very large corporation. Short term I would like to get my real estate license and also purchase my first property to rent. I purchased my first house in March of last year. The process of buying and doing some remodeling peeked my interest. I do plan to live in this house for a while. I need some guidance on purchasing my first investment property. I do have money for a downpayment, but outside of that I am pretty lost on where to begin.
