Thank you all for the advice. Can someone please explain exactly how the Equity works? Are the payments usually high or what?

My Husband and I have been saving our money for our down payment for our first buy and hold property (Hopefully). We do have some equity in the house we live in now. My question is it a smart decision to use our equity as the down payment?

Hello Nikki. I am new to the Bigger Pockets and I also live in Las Vegas. I was wondering how are you doing now with real estate since it has been 6 months since your first post?

Thanks.

My name is Victoria Love I live in Las Vegas. I recently graduated College and I believe real estate would be the perfect to help pay off that debt and invest in my son’s future. I am very interested in investing with Buy and Hold Properties Single Family or Multifamily Homes. I have been gathering information so far for only one month and I love everything about real estate! I want to start tomorrow if I could. I am interested in using the (BRR) method. I currently have a house already that my family and I live in and I have been thinking of starting there by renting it out and purchase a new home for us. I have so many questions and I look forward to connecting with other people.
