@Diana Dorantes Hello Diana, thanks for replying my post. The truth is that the undocumented was me (And I apologize for my lack of honesty in that minute).

I didn't want to admit it immediately for fear of being pointed with the finger in some way. But now that I am more informed I feel a little more confident about myself. Regarding your question, yes, I could do it. We are currently finishing a flip in Ohio. And I'm finding out little by little what my options are, I've met several people like me who inject money into the US real estate market that don't have documents. It is more difficult, but it can be done.

Post: Can I apply BP books in a foreign market?

I just bought almost all of BP's books.

  • I have just finished the "7 habits of highly effective people" and "The richest man in Babylon". I think I have my mindset ready to start. I'm going to start reading "How to invest in real estate" and I wanted to know if it is possible to apply the knowledge of the book(s) in a foreign market. I imagine that I should put aside the information regarding taxes and banking laws.

So ... my question is can I apply book strategies like:

    "Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat".
"The Book On Rental Property Investing".
    "Long-Distance Real Estate Investing".
"The Book On Managing Rental Properties".

    Beforehand thank you very much!

@Mike M. Thank you very much for your prompt response Mike! Well... I guess one never finishes knowing the people but I have a very good relationship with him. He is a very hardworking young man. I do not think his money comes from fraudulent sources and he does not even speak to me about asking for a loan, rather he told me to buy in cash so I can supplement the rest of the payment.

I know he has paid his taxes since he is here and he has an ITIN number with the registration of those taxes. I do not think he is a successful person, but I do believe he is a hardworking and enthusiastic person who has accomplished many more things than the average person of my age that I know here in NYC I would really like to help him. Anyway thank you so much for trying to guide me Mike!

I work as a bartender in New York City. 3 years ago I met an undocumented immigrant with whom we are now workmates and very good friends (We are both in our early 20s). He has always been a person focused on finances and personal development since I met him and he surprised me with his financial knowledge so much that he has helped me with my finances and to develop better habits in my life. (He has lent me books that have sown in my very good habits and new perspectives of the world).

This last time he has been studying REI on his own and thanks to him I ended up here at BP.

I started obsessing with reading about REI, listening to the podcast, among other things.

Two days ago he called me and told me if we could get together to talk. When he arrived, he came with some folders and his computer where he showed me his savings, economic projections of his situation. And he said: Look Vicente, I have achieved this in the years that I have been here I have this amount of savings and I intend to invest in RE, I know that we are in a market that is too expensive for what I have but we could look for some other that is more accessible. Do not tell me anything. Think about it for a week and tell me what you think.

He left me with my mouth open... This guy has savings to live 7 months and cover all his needs without having to work, besides that He saved 30k that intends to invest in real estate.

I honestly want to enter the world of RE and I think he is a very capable person. I want to be his partner but I do not know what complications could bring the fact that he is undocumented.

Is there any way we can both benefit from this situation without problems? Thank you!
