If tenants rented the house part of that month (before the disaster), then I believe a prorated rent amount is legally due you. But if the tenants did not rent any day of that month, then they do not owe you any rent, unless they want to pay you out of their own free will.

@Nancy Carr I agree with the poster above, in the past, my PM would just invoice me with not much explanations. I no longer have that PM. I would suggest reading the PM's review online before hiring them.

Greetings, 

I'd like to introduce myself to this forum. 

I am from South Bay, California and found this forum by accident.

Real Estate is a very exciting word to me and anything that has to do with it is welcome :)

Anyway let's network. The name Biggerpockets is an understatement for this forum as the amount of knowledge / information in this forum is immense (r) so ImmenserPockets is a much better fit LOL!
