@John Hyatt thanks for responding.  Your comment kinda hits the nail with the flood insurance.  My agent was kinda worried the addition would disqualify me when I purchased my home so maybe this could be a common worry amongst agents.

@Craig Wilcox Thanks for the response.  I will check with my agent, I live in a military town that is forever changing but I think that would be a plus.  One thing my agent didn't like when I chose the neighborhood was the requirement for flood insurance.  It does seem that house in the area once for sale only sit for a few months.  There are a couple of shorts sales however that have seem to have been sitting for a while!

I am considering starting out in my local neighborhood because there are a lot of Pre-foreclosures and houses for sale in my area.  With that being said could this be a sign of a bad market to invest in?  I kinda have an idea of things I should consider but could use a little help.  Thanks in advance for any advice!

He is a disabled Military veteran with an honorable discharge and a degree.  Felony what?  If you already spent the time to research and no red flags are flown, from a veteran, i would help a veteran!

Welcome to BP Worth! Your name fits in 2 ways.  As a contractor with 30 years experience, I would say, to other investors you bring a lot of "Worth" to the table and "Styles" well that's easy, it's what you do! It's great here, have fun see ya on the forums.
