Are you looking for a real estate investing franchise or an agent brokerage like Keller Williams?

I have seem a couple of franchise out there for REI (HomeVestors and New Western) but personally I don't understand them and how they work. What are you looking to do in real estate, list and sell? Wholesale? Flip? etc? This would be the first thing to ask yourself, find out what you want to do then find someone doing that and see how you can work with them.

@Antonio MarteI am a little biased here but good choice on the DFW marketing. But I have to ask why DFW Texas over something close to home? That would be my first concern is investing in a rental so far away? Are you planning on having a property manager take care of it? Are you moving here?

Home prices here are very low and rental income is high. I have lived here over a year now and I love it. I am relativity new to REI myself but have grown a large database of knowledge that I am not afraid to share, plus I just love talking about it. Let me know if you guys wanna meet up while your in town and just want to talk real estate, I am always free for coffee.

Hey there @Adna Rubio

Like @Chaz Reidsaid this is a perfect place to start. The community here is filled with people all over the RE business and they are not afraid to offer assistance or even partner with you on your deals. get active in the forums here and just start reading and getting out looking for properties.

Good Luck

Like many have said before if you are really wanting to get started then start out by going to a local REIA meeting and talking to people from the groups. Wholesaling may sound simple but you will be whacked with the reality stick quick when you find out that it takes a lot of marketing and time to call back home owners, drive neighborhoods, send out letters, put out signs, etc. Its a great way to get started and learn the REI business so you can grow from there if that's what you are looking for. But if you are looking for something part-time then look at being a bird dog for a wholesaler or investor, you'll make less per deal but it will allow you to learn from that investor you are working for.

One thing that I am a true believer in is giving to the community. Go to your REIA or meetups and see where others may be lacking in their business then see how you can fill that gap. By offering your help to others it shows that you are serious but it also lets them know who you are and in exchange they will (for the most part) offer to help you too. We all have talents in certain places, even though we are talking real estate your talents in other places can help as well.

Good luck

Post: Should I use Google voice for a lead generation website?

I would suggest a combination of the two. Place a Google voice number on a lead site just change the voicemail message from "The Google voice subscriber you have called is unavailable" and remove the prompt from the call to say their name and no one will even know its a Google voice number. I use a couple Google voice numbers and they are fantastic for keeping things organized and tracking your calls. But in the end you can never have to many funnels for leads to come to you and if its free then why not use it.

I am excited to see what others can bring to the table and how we can help each other. Shoot me a message if you'd be interested to talk about this some more.
