Hi -- We are working on a rehab and trying to figure out how to pay the workers on this temporary project. Do we just cut them checks directly from the LLC or we need to be running payroll through ADP or another similar company?

Hi -- I bought a property from an investor that bought in tax deed sale and sold it to me in 60 days. What happens to the first mortgage on the property? My understanding is that the mortgage gets wiped out but wanted to check!

You can also setup a Chekbook IRA LLC in addition to a an account at one of the custodians. The LLC needs an operating agreement by a lawyer that is knowledgeable in this space. Your IRA can then invest in the LLC which can then make hard money loans and other RE investments. Once the setup is complete, a checkbook IRA LLC makes things a lot easier.
