Have you considered Steilacoom? I don't know the market or anything but I've been stationed here almost three years and a lot of officers I know bought land in that area. 

I would like to gain a little experience working with someone who has the REI business down. Is there anyone near Tacoma who needs assistance or any groups who assist people who are just getting started.

Hello I am new to real estate and plan on getting started as a real estate investor. I am having a hard time finding rental properties that are within my budget. I also am not sure how to determine the best budget for a home based on my income and possible future vacancy. What are some things that are unknown for most investors when they buy their first property and finance. All advice welcomed please and thank you.
