@Basit Siddiqi I am open to that option, I see what you're saying. I'll have to start that then!

I'm looking to compare companies people in my area have used (Colorado Springs) for trees, shrubs, lawns, meadow's, xeriscape, ponds, etc. Whether that be installing, maintaining, or placing buds on projects.

Does anyone know of any that stand out, say that work more meadow's/wildflowers and working trees as opposed to traditional lawns?

Hey all,

I'm wondering if anyone who has conducted business in Colorado Springs has any referrals for any or all of the following week work in this area; real estate lawyer, CPA, real estate agent, lenders (traditional, private, etc.), property managers, contractors, wholesalers, and maybe a turnkey company.

My wife and I are looking to start our portfolio in our backyard before pivoting to Florida. We are looking for one of two things depending on the deal:

Single family homes

Small multi-family (to include single condos)

We'd like the help of these people listed to ensure a proper start to an exciting future for our growing little family.

@Andy Nathan right now I'm just doing searches on the internet trying to get my feet wet. I'll take a look around me, thank you for the tip!

I'm trying to get a better understanding of estimating rehab costs. I've got a pretty good idea, I think, but I would really want to find someone that I can have to accompany me or accompany them on walkthroughs with me whether that be a contractor or a local investor that just has some spare time.

If not that is alright, I have a property in mind that I think I can put pictures up of and kind of walk through what I'm thinking and estimating the costs to be, just to see if I'm in the ballpark.

@Jaysen Medhurst thank you for thank info that's what I'll do then. I reposted this in a different forum and someone responded saying as far as his understanding goes it's that banks generally don't lend to LLCs and if you move liabilities to an LLC after-the-fact then the bank could theoretically ask for the remainder then and there. Or something along those lines.

@Matthew Lopez thank you for the warm welcome!

I have tried to find an answer to this question on YouTube, Google, and of course, here at BiggerPockets. I have found many answers and suggestions but none that truly answer my question, so I'm sure I'm being too specific.

My question is, should my wife and I form an LLC, or whatever entity would be proper, now before buying our first property or after we have a few properties? We have our current home that we will be staying in for now but eventually rent/lease out. What is the difference other than the legal protection, is the debt:income looked at differently, is there any benefit other than the legal protection which I understand is a big deal, but can we just start buying properties and roll them into a legal entity later on? Is it truly a benefit, or that risky to proceed to purchase before forming a legal entity?

@Kai Kopsch, thank you for your quick response! That's about what I've been finding too, and I just need to find a CPA I guess.
