Post: Do You Accept Crypto Currency for rent?

Years back I knew someone who paid rent in crypto. It was a two people renting a two bedroom apartment. It was my understanding the one had enough cash set aside for the rent. The second roommate would pay each month in crypto to the other for their portion.

Interesting situation but worked well for both of them.

I could imagine it getting very tricky with a 3rd party management company and have not heard of a company doing it. A self managed investment may be easier to accept it straight from tenant to owner.

Hello!

Has anyone had experience building homes or multifamily properties in the Blythe CA area? If so, would like to hear your experience on the project or any recommendations for builders that work in the area.

Thank you!

Tyler

Hi @Daniel Gallardo, are you are still looking for someone? I can refer some agents in the area that may be a great fit for a quick whole sale if so.

@Mark Hirleman Thanks again, starting with a student lease seems like a great idea.

@James Carlson I appreciate it, those are some great additions you shared. I'll make sure it addresses liability to personal property and to each other! Thanks for adding Drew as well.

@Mark Hirleman I am still working on obtaining/creating the lease. Any recommendations on where to get one? Have you used the one off of BP?

I appreciate all of those additions you shared! Those are some great points and definitely some things I will now consider when finalizing it.

Thank you,

Hi All! I am currently finishing up a rehab on a condo of mine in California that has 2 master bedrooms. I plan on house hacking and renting one of the master bedrooms out and split all utilities 50/50.

I wanted to get some advise on what should be added into a lease when house hacking that may not be on a standard lease?

Would love to hear feedback on others who have house hacked that may have came across a lease issue or something they learned from doing it.

Thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm Tyler! I recently discovered the BiggerPockets podcast and had to join the site! I have a strong personal interest in real estate, property management, and real estate investments. I currently am based in Orange County, California but also invested in the Phoenix market. I have been working in property management for the past few years as well as finishing up classes to obtain my CA real estate license.

I'm currently rehabbing a condo I just purchased which I plan to house-hack. With that, would love to connect with others online, or future meet ups in OC and or Phx. Looking forward to networking, learning, and talking real estate with everyone!
