@Becca F. Impressive to stay on top of that! I’d lose them for sure. It’s always tough getting a spreadsheet built out and organized the exact way you want.

@Alexander Colon thanks! You’ve used it for a year so can’t be too bad, but how do you like it?

@Brandi K. Sweet! How do you like it? Easy to use? Seems good for tracking rent and expenses. Does it allow you to stay on top of repair schedules as well?

@Scooter Williams Spreadsheets just seemed like a bit of a pain to remember to stay on top of. Thanks though

For those who self manage their properties, how are you keeping track of the dates of your properties' CapEx projects (ex. roof replacement), minor repairs that you've had completed, and planned repairs for next time the unit turns over?

Spreadsheet?

Hi all. My name is Ty Johnson, I am a 22 year old recent college graduate. I recently moved to Milwaukee, WI from the Minneapolis / St. Paul area. Currently, I am working a 9-5, and have made the decision to pursue Real Estate Investing as well. . As I am fresh out of school, I do not yet have the money to afford a traditional purchase of a property. Therefore, I just started a side hustle to help fund that purchase. In the mean time I am diving into many resources, in order to learn as much as possible prior to making a purchase.

I am a former college athlete and am extremely excited I found a way to utilize my competitive spirit into something I have developed a passion for. I view real estate as a very long-term wealth creating strategy for myself and am more excited for the journey/chase/climb than anything.

If anyone is in the Milwaukee, WI area, I'd love to connect. I'd also be interested in connecting with those in the Twin Cities, as I am back there fairly regularly too.

I am a recent college grad working full time and I have decided real estate investing is the path I want to pursue. I just launched a side hustle to help earn enough money for a down payment and to give me time to learn more about the business. I wanted to hear any recommendations on books and/or other resources so I can gather as much information as I can prior to purchasing a property. Anything would help, as I have never purchased a place. Period. Thanks! Extremely Excited!
