@Philip Claessens hello, I always admire people trying to help their parents out in any way later in life. That said, what about having them borrow that 100k in equity against their home to build that ADU. Once its built, they can move into it and rent out the front house which should take care of most if not the entire mortgage. May not be the idea that you are looking for but, an idea. Best of luck.

@Aaron K. I was being sarcastic, no such class exists in San Diego, at least not from me. I didn’t know which font to use to portray sarcasm lol. I was just remembering how someone in San Diego lured me into this group meet up last year and then wasted 2 hours of my time before revealing his intent at the end to sell me their $20k mentor program.

@Aaron K. Lol I got suckered into attending one of these classes in the past, seemed like a legit 2-3 hour informative real estate session until the end they brought up the $20k mentorship.
