I don't have any experience in Berwyn but have been looking into this area also.  I plan on driving around there this weekend to check out the neighborhood.  I will let you know what I find.

@Hattie Dizmond and @Michael Evans thanks for the sound advise.  Once I am done with all the podcast I will delve more into Garn-St Germaine.

BP,

I have a question about establishing business entities. The previous post I've read have placed little importance on setting up a business entity(LLC or Inc) when first starting out. However, this goes against everything I learned in Bschool(for which I spent way to much money).

Currently I have one rental property which is a result of career move.   I plan to use my personal credit to purchase as many multi-unit properties as possible.  Will setting up a business entity deter a formal bank from lending to me?

George Foster I hope you don't mind me putting you in my Rolodex as well. I am looking at properties in Chicago that may need rehab and could use a good contractor.

Hello BP!  I am new to the website and look forward to expanding my real estate network.  As a total beginner in the fact finding stage I am completely open to all this site and it's members have to offer.

My goal is to acquire multi unit and/or condo rentals in the Chicagoland area following a basic buy and hold strategy and look forward to using BP as a resource for achieving thus goal.
