@Alex Kamunyo you mentioned almost 50% of people in homes in San Antonio are renting them. Is there a database, report, etc you used to find that number, or just something you are familiar with having lived and invest led in SA?
I’m interested to hear what your processes are on when buying and then operating a property. What are things you’ve missed in either your numbers or inspections of properties when purchasing multi-family units? Are there expenses you were totally surprised by or completely missed in your calculations? What are assumptions you missed on when making assumptions on vacancy, maintenance or general operating costs? If you have a checklist you are willing to share that would be even better.
@Sam Grooms Culd you walk me through how you came to the $2,000 conclusion? Interested in seeing your assumptions and how you back into that number.
I have set the goal to begin investing in multi-family real estate in 2019. I wIll likely start wIth 3-6 unit properties. I’m looking for information on my different loan optIons. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, conventional loans, commercial loans, etc. If you have recommendatIons for blogs, websites, podcasts pERSONAL EXPERIENCES or any other informative sources it would be greatly appreciated.
