Hello,

I currently live in Austin, TX and plan to purchase my first house and do a "House hack". I don't have a ton of capital but since Commercial real estate is my profession, I am licensed (Not experienced in residential transactions though)

Do y'all think it's a good idea to self represent and collect the 3% commission when purchasing to help with closing costs/Down payment? I don't have tons of capital so I believe I can get it done best this way. My Brokerage will pay me my full commission for this transaction.

Thanks!

Hi all,

My name is Tristen and I am 23 years old, graduated with a finance degree in 2018, and currently have a job as a commercial broker/agent on the tenant rep side (so yes I am licensed). I live in Austin, TX. My current job has taught me a ton on the commercial side however I've always wanted to make passive income through rental properties, and even considered flipping to get started. (I'm still very broke). I've invested significant time into BP and want to get started.

I am willing to help a more experienced investor through answering phones, helping them renovate, or anything that may useful in order to gain experience and ask questions. Also if anyone has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated, I'm already practicing on analyzing deals and just want to make sure I know what I'm doing before buying my first property.

Thanks all
