Ryland, Thank you for the warm welcome and the suggestion! I will definitely look into Troy's meet-up group as I'm sure the BP community here in Seattle is very strong. Please let me know if there's ever anything that I can do to assist you in your RE endeavors!  - Trey

Hello Trey,

Welcome to BP. It is an awesome place. Please plan on attending the local REI groups in Seattle or Tacoma or both. They are large groups with a ton of knowledge and information to further your education in investing. I have the group in Olympia however we are a new group and not near as big as the ones around you. We have seasoned investors also and you are welcome to attend our meetings.

You can find wonderful books on the BP site written by people who have done the deals, put in the time and collected the pay just like you are doing on your book.  I hope you enjoy reading them.

It sounds like you have your plan laid out and I wish you all the luck at attaining your dream.

Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July.

Naomi, Thank you for the warm welcome! I definitely plan on attending a local REIA group in the near future. Please let me know if there's any way that I can assist you and your business up here on the Eastside!

Welcome to BP! Glad to have you on here. Have you had a chance to set up your keywords for your area and interests so that you're notified when they come up? Also, I'd recommend joining any REIA groups in your area. You can find some here. All the best!

Brett, Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes I've begun playing around with the key word alerts. I'm finding, however, that I'm getting overwhelmed with alerts. Which words have you found as being the best way to implement the key words alerts for your area? Thank you for sharing the link! I plan on joining a REIA in the near future. If you're ever in the Seattle area, please let me know!

Hello BP community! I'm a new RE investor located in Seattle, Washington on the Eastside. I'm about 6 months into my RE investing education. Since graduating Cum Laude in Finance from the University of San Diego in December, 2015, I've been working full time in Client Relations at a Portfolio Manager in Seattle. In addition to my job, here’s some of what I’ve been up to since January:

1) I've read 25 business and real estate books (Rich Dad, Poor Dad included, of course)

2) I recently began writing articles about success and finance (https://treywheelercom.wordpress.com if you'd like to check it out)

3) I've written ~20,000 words in the book that I'm in the process of composing

4) I write down my goals each morning and each evening

5) I will soon be sitting for the broker’s exam to become a Real Estate Agent in Washington

6) And of course, I'm an avid listener of THE Bigger Pockets podcast

I decided to share the above with you to show that I’m serious about RE, my future, and most importantly, living a fulfilled life. The more I learn about RE investing, the more excited I become about using RE to build long-term wealth. If anything I’ve stated above interests you, or you’d like to begin building a relationship then let’s connect!

I look forward to messaging or speaking soon,

Trey
