@Joe Funari

That's good to hear! And thank you for the info. After graduation in December, I'll be moving up to the Forth Worth area. So, having contacts with a realtor and broker up there would be ideal. Thanks again!

@Jasmine Benford

I can start asking people I know in the area if they know any investor friendly realtors. If you know a good way of finding them otherwise, I'd be all ears.

And thank you for the book recommendations! I look forward to learning more.

@Cortney Jones

FInding a mortgage broker seems like a great place to start. Thank you!

And I'll look into how rigorous the LLC process is in Texas.

Hello all, I am fairly new to BP as is evident with my question. My wife and I are graduating college in December and we want to buy our first rental (duplex most likely). We will probably need an FHA loan in order to afford a down payment and house hack. What should we do first to get the ball rolling? Do I need a broker of any sort? Or should I set up an LLC first? Thanks for the help! Trevor T

Michael Boyer Thank you for the welcome and the advice! My wife and I are open to moving to just about any area of the US. So, I'll have to keep those things in mind to narrow the search.

Hello All,

I just started listening to the BP podcast a few weeks ago and am now getting my feet wet in the forums.

My wife and I are going to be graduating college in December and are looking for a good city for real estate investing. Our initial thought is to by a multifamily home to live in and also rent out. We may flip houses as well (if we have time).

Could any of you give insight into how to find a good market.

Thank you
