Dan,

I would advise opening two bank accounts. One for Rent Roll/Checking (Day to Day) and also one for Lease Deposits. For Debit/Credit, it is very helpful for reoccurring payments as well as organizing numbers and also another layer of fraud protection with credit cards.  I wish I could help you with recommending a bank, However, I have always used as well as had good luck with local banks. Getting Checks for both accounts would also be helpful.

Well Hello Moe!

Welcome to Bigger Pockets. As you probably know Bigger Pockets hosts meet ups around the country. I would highly recommend attending at least once to get a feel for the environment. People often are very warm and inviting and are more then open to give up time and answer questions you have. By attending meeting (which maybe you already have and I'm wasting your time here) you show others that you are committed to learning and taking the first step.

I did a quick scan of your area and there is actually an event around an hour away from you!

3100 E West Maple Rd Commerce Twp, Michigan 48382

I highly recommend looking into this meeting place and giving it a try. If you have any further questions please ask.

Best Regards,

Trevor

I know this is a strange request perhaps. Im trying to find a podcast I listened to once before (not sure the date of product. There are only a few things I remember, First off there was a lot of great information that would apply to me now regarding construction. In the podcast they spoke about multifamily and creative ways to maximize returns creatively. I believe there was a story about a tree being cut down as well as electrical work done by the interviewee. I know this is a shot in the dark but anything will help!

Thanks!

Hello Bigger Pockets!

I'm being quite selfish by making this post. Hopefully the people who decide to help answer my question will help more than just me in one way or another.

Question: What Careers or Internships would you recommend for learning the ins and outs of real estate investing?! Income isn't very important but, knowledge is very important as I am twenty-one and willing to get my hands dirty to learn.

Let me tell you just a bit about myself: (hopefully this gives you more insight)

Graduated HS in 2018

Bought into a small landscape business (like it)

Flipped a House

Rolled Profits into Duplex

Learned I LOVE Realestate!
