Hello guys! I am very excited to dig into the extreme wealth of knowledge on this site and it’s very exciting to see the large amount of networking throughout the forums. I am very excited to get to know you guys better because this looks to be a great community of like-minded go-getters, I have the go-getter in me but strive to have the knowledge and experience that you all do and that’s exactly what I look to gain here. I understand that’s not going to be a quick road but I do look forward to traveling it and beginning it in this next calendar year. (Hope that didn’t sound too much like a New Years Resolution.. Those don’t normally work out for me! Haha)
Anyhow, I am a 21 year old from Jeffersonville, IN (Just across the Ohio River from Louisville, KY). I have an amazing wife and a 2, almost 3, year old son which we are in the process of adopting. I work in the business office at a local hospital in the Louisville market and I plan to enter the flipping and possibly rental business in the local area. I also have some aspirations to one day build. This would be in residential properties, which would include, for me, apartments/condos, as well as single-family homes and some possible commercial stuff which I would rather do whenever I have the pockets which allow me to stomach such an investment. The commercial investments have been a bit heavy in our market lately and I see a lot of vacant suites, lots, and buildings so this would mean the right place, right time, and the market growing a bit.
I am brand new to real estate as a whole. I had some experience in new building which my dad did for a few years as a side project from his company. This brought me some good experience with inspecting properties and he will still be a great asset to my future company as the both of us have some great connections with contractors and many other resources in the area from his experiences and the experiences of running a small business for so many years in this area.
I hope to grow from the experience and knowledge in this site and to be possibly purchasing a property this next calendar year if at all possible. I have a young family but also a plethora of resources so I am striving to do so with plenty of hard work, a little blood, plenty of sweat, and maybe some tears but, just like you guys, I’m a dude so I don’t cry… Thank you all so much for the work you guys have put into this site to make it such an amazing resource for us little people. And also, thanks in advance for any words of encouragement, advice, or knowledge. I can’t wait to grow and be able to soon pass along some information to a young prospect as well.
