Seasoned investors, and of course anyone that has knowledge in real estate. Can you guys think of as much real estate terminology you guys know. From the basics like hard money lenders, different loans, to different real estate strategy's to actual investing like NOI, cap rates, cash on cash returns. Then what makes a team, meaning accountants, attorneys, syndicators, real estate agents and their functions. I know this is a broad topic, and I don't expect for one person to name them all, although that would be excellent. I expect different people to name different things. If not the same thing with good definitions to help me and others understand these roles and definitions.

@Bijou Diaou no need to pay when you have everything you need to know about investing right here at your finger tips. I’m learning and new also, but have patients. It’s a process, saving up and building credit and reading a book is what I’m doing to take a stab at my real estate future . Who knows you may save the money quickly and run across something. I feel like putting in the work being active on here and reading, once you start your first deal it’s going to come natural. Also a little overwhelming, but that’s what BP is for. Message people on here, reach out and build rapport with people. Tell them what your trying to do, and don’t give up.

I’m wondering the same... How was the process with getting single family homes? I’m looking forward to doing the single family homes, but I want to start off multi family.

So I’m currently recognizing my financial position. I plan on working an second job to get more income. I ran across an old friend I went to college with and I told him my plan to get into real estate. He said he’s good friends with a broker and knows a house he could possibly get with 0 down. This should be something I look forward into doing with my friend not having any knowledge in real estate? I mean I’m reading a book on how to invest by BP, and I’m working and trying to build credit. But I’m wondering if buying an multifamily home would be worth more while? If I build credit and do an conventional loan, 20-80. Me and my partner go have and half on down payment? https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/7316-Penrose-St-Jacksonville-FL/16684952/ I seen this multi family home and started wondering because 20% of 185k is 37k. Half of that between a partner is 18.5. I’m a first time home owner so would I have perks of using that to my advantage?

@Eugene M. Yes, I found out I could save money after I moved out my mothers house and got out on my own. It was just a goal I had for myself because I loved my privacy... when I did it, I realized I rather collect the rent then pay the rent. I then seen Rich Dad Poor Dad Robert Kiyosaki . I hope to see you around on the forums.
