@Richard Vang, Yes that makes reasonable sense. I will be having a conference call with my management company tomorrow so Ill see what they have to say. I really hate to raise the rent on a good Section 8 tenant but every little bit helps. Any suggestions of reliable site to get rental comps to help my case for the HHA?

Hi All,

I currently own a two bedroom with a loft, 2 bathroom townhouse and rent it by way of Section 8 for $875. Ive had the tenant in the property for a few years now and would like to raise the rent. I have a management company that downplays the option of raising the rent in fear that the tenant may not be approved for the additional cost and may move. What shall I do since HOA monthly cost has gone up for me and I would like to recoupe the cost as well as make a little more? Is there a way to see what the HHA will approve or shall I just keep with the same rate because the tenant has been in good standings.
