As far as capital as a little less than 5K . i appreciate your input. The forum has been helpful thus far . I will look into buy and hold.

I like that you've identified the "why", that's key! Get to know your market, network with agents/lenders/investors, look for a deal to buy and hold. Stay within your level of expertise and use these forums to get help analyzing deals.

I work currently software developer , looking to be a successful real estate investor and yet keep my day job - for now. what niche will be recommended to start ? The goal is to make an impact and yet do right by my family and less privileged.
