@Lucia Rushton Dallas is certainly a diverse economy and most companies are migrating there . One can not underestimate "the old money" built primarily on O&G and REI.

@Sarita Scherpereel You hit it hard with Austin. As for Chicago, I may have to look at the inventory from an Investors perspective rather than a home owner,, A price adjustment would be the best thing that will ever happen to Chicago, although  i am a little pessimistic about that. I'm sharpening my axes to see what happens, fingers crossed.

@Jordan Moorhead Austin is booming , I remember back in the day flood and natural disaster would scare Investors and homeowners away.

@Nathan Gesner I have been to Chicago in person but going over their real estate infrastructure, I'm quite disappointed . I think it definitely needs a complete makeover.

@Michael Strobel Ask to speak to the boss at a credit union NOT the direct loan guy. You also do know , hard money lenders on BP will listen if they see you know what you are doing. Just be prepared to sell your pitch.

If you have other properties, your local CU can grant you a secured loan using them as collateral. i also just found out the other day if you have a stock investment or passive investment income flow- The bank may be able to take that as some sort of collateral ( I can't remember what the exact term for that is). Furthermore, partner with BP members on here , better still direct message them, they are fond of coming up with the right questions to enable you think on your feet. You have a deal in hand, wear 2 masks. One - communicate and follow through with the sales process , Two - On the back-end, find investors. In the end, you will either have nailed the deal or learn valuable finance lesson. If you work hard enough, you will hit both.

I am one that believe in my saying which goes - "If you hang around a circle of 11 CEOs, You'll be the 12th" . With that being said, I know the Real Estate Investing path can be achieved anywhere so long as you are active on BP and take massive action however to be able to get the network that puts you one a fast track, one has to be in an area where one can meet with other investors and share ideas. Between the DMV area,Dallas, Austin, Kansas City, Chicago. Where would you move to and why? If you have any other location , do not hesitate to share them.

@Chris Seveney You are right on the money with that one. I tried looking for a multi-family property out there. No luck whatsoever. If the traffic isn't scaring residents out, I wonder what else will. I am waiting for the downs to jump right on.
