@Steven Moore

Downtown Asheville is a no go due to regulations. Some of the lesser known small mountain towns have a lot of potential and great prices comparatively.

Hey @Joe Gallo. I’m probably the only NC investor crazy enough to look to NY for a property but it’s my wife’s dream. If you come across anything in western NC and need a second opinion feel free to reach out.

Hey @Tayler McIntosh. I’m on the hunt as well. If I find anything that doesn’t fit my criteria I’ll send it your way. I just started a Facebook Morganton NC real estate investors group. Feel free to join.

I recommend looking into the blowing rock area as well. Same vibe without the crowds and restrictions. Unfortunately prices have doubled in the last three months.

@Mark F.

I’ve heard rumors that out of country investors are scooping these up left and right while inner city residents flee. Any truth to this?

@David Marasow

You don’t need to tell me, the Yanks are coming in by the Tesla full ;)

With the steep decline in property value up there, now might be the rare time to come across something mildly profitable. I don’t like the idea either, but this would be a great educational experience for my wife to really grab the wheel on one.

Hi everyone,

Looking to connect with investors that are familiar with the NY or NJ markets near New York, New York. While it isn't my cup of tea, it is my wife's dream and would love to get more familiar with the opportunities for short term rentals in the area. With the current laws and regulations in the area, is there potential for moderately cash flow positive properties given the current market? If you are looking to connect with someone familiar with the mid to western NC markets I would be happy to help.

I haven't done it personally but I was told it was called the Bid Room. I don't know how their process differs from the above though. Here is an example.

Hi all. I had a lot of positive feedback from this post on another BP platform. I thought I would share it here to be forever saved in the glory of BP.

I wanted to let the fellow rookies in on a little known secret, the Lowes QSP (or HD "Bid Room") If you're not a DIYer tell your contractor. Contractors with 10+ years experience had no clue about the program and their is very little about this online. (You wont find any info about it on Lowes.com and hardly anything on google, until now ;)

You can save anywhere from 10 to 20% off retail. The total must be greater than 1k and the CC discounts will not apply. The larger the total the better. Put a cart together online and print or email it to the pro desk. Also a great hack for any appliance order over 1k.

The associate will run it through the system and populate your discount. You can then print and buy each piece as needed but why waste your valuable time? Have the associates pick your order for you by requesting delivery (free with a Lowes Business CC.) You can do partial deliveries above a certain amount. Structural then cosmetic etc.

To add Veteran, employee or another discounts do not apply.

Hope this helps a fellow rookie!
