Looking for short term rental in Western NC, from Boone down to Asheville. How are some of these major towns with rules and regulations regarding short term rentals and how do you maneuver through it?!

Hi Tristan,

We have two STRs in Beech Mountain. One is a a 3/3.5 and is 2500 sf. Wood burning fireplace, on a golf course.

Second house is 4/3 plus loft. 3000sf. Gas fireplace,  long range mountain views, hot tub, pool table.

We manage everything via VRBO and Airbnb. We've been managing STRs this way since 2013. We had other houses that we've rented and then ultimately sold at substantial profits.

No property management company. We have a cleaning person who alerts us when something needs attention. She has repair people available when something needs to be fixed. We also stay in them when we can- we spend a part of the time we're there making repairs as needed.
