Very interesting article Chad, it sure illustrates the cost of living is much higher in Canada.  As far as a housing crash similar to what occurred in the U.S. happening here, I think the tightening of the mortgage rules have lessened the chances of that taking place and things are leveling off somewhat.

Hi Andrew, I would definitely be interested in a meet up. My work schedule is pretty fluid so it will be hit or miss as to wether I will be around but let me know,

Hey all, I recently joined BP and was thrilled to find a Canadian forum. I am currently working on a live in flip and this thread has already answered a few questions I had about acquiring a second mortgage. It is my plan to acquire SFR in either the Calgary or Lethbridge markets as I currently live between the two cities.

My name is Todd Warren and I am a 49 yr old truck driver.  I am starting my journey into real estate investing to help secure my financial future and retirement options.  Although I am a resident of the great white north, I am sure that this site will offer valuable information that will be of use regardless of what side of the border I live on.
