I actually entered in to this transaction a couple of months ago.  Anyway, I consulted with a foreclosure attorney and I am feeling OK about everything.

Thanks

I am considering loaning some money for a "private money" transaction in Oregon.  All of this will go through a correctly licensed mortgage company and individual.

The borrower will use the money to acquire a property with a home on it.  The home will be the borrower's primary residence.

Does anybody know of potential issues related to foreclosing on a borrower's primary residence with a "private money" loan?

Thanks,

Well, I think I am about to make the switch to iiP Management.

I just can't go on any longer with my current management company.  I have been patiently trying to get things to work with them for over a year but to no avail.

If anybody has any recent experiences with iiP Management, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks,

Todd

I am still hanging in there with my current PM company hoping things will get straightened out.  I have seen a slight improvement.

I am from Oregon, and I purchased a duplex in Euclid, Ohio almost a year ago.  The property management company I selected is not working out very well.  I am expecting that I will make a change in the very near future (it is very frustrating being so far away and not receiving any communication!).

If somebody knows a management company (that covers the Euclid, OH area) that they have worked with and has had good results, I would really, really appreciate knowing who that is.

Thanks so much!

Todd

Hello there!  I am a brand new member from Oregon that is looking to invest in income producing properties  in the state of Ohio.  I think I want to stay in the 2-4 unit complexes for the time being.  I have a friend of a friend that has invested around Cleveland, so I guess I would say that I would like to be looking in the Cleveland suburb area or possibly Akron. My friend tells me that an annual rate of return in excess of twelve percent is doable in this area.

I am not an experienced real estate investor, but i have used some of my excess funds to purchase various properties in Oregon.  I currently own a four plex, a single family home, a bare city lot, and about six acres of rural ground.  Of course, I also have a primary residence that I live in.  I am transitioning away from my construction business, and thus I need to invest some of my excess funds.  I would like to start with one or possibly two properties in Ohio, and if it seems like that is working, then acquire more.  The rental properties currently just don't really pencil out in southern Oregon (where I am from) from an investment standpoint, and that is why I am looking at Ohio.

I would really like to be able to get in touch with a good realtor and property management company in the area described in my opening paragraph.  If anybody in the Cleveland/Akron area is experienced and knowledgable in dealing with investors and income producing properties, I would appreciate being able to communicate with you.

Thanks for your time.

Todd
