Hi Uzoma,

I have a recommendation for you: @Luis Martinez. He's an investor as well as a commercial real estate agent. I can personally vouch for his work ethic and integrity. I know he can help you get on the right track with finding commercial deals.

Welcome to BP, @Brittany Norris! I'm a newbie from DC looking to start off wholesaling as well. If you ever want to chat or bounce ideas off one another, feel free to reach out.

@M Marie M. You bring up an interesting point. I'm more familiar with Rhode Island until about 18th NE, but I haven't ventured closer to South Dakota and Eastern Ave. I'll take a look into those neighborhoods as well. Thanks, Marie!

@Carson Sweezy Well, if I'm willing to try a REIA in Gaithersburg, I guess I should also be willing to try one out in Fairfax. What's the info for that REIA?

@Russell Brazil Thanks for reaching out. I just checked the website for the REIA in Silver Spring. Looks good. Hopefully I can make the next meeting. Also, I've never been to Gaithersburg but I'm open to attending a BP meet up out that way.

@Brandon Turner Just setup some Keyword Alerts. Looks like I'm ready to go. Also, I just want to say how much I love the Podcasts. You and Josh really do a great job with that.

@Shayne Brescia @Kene Ezeonyebuchi It's great to meet other investors in the area. I just sent you both messages. Looking forward to connecting soon.

@Carson Sweezy Thanks for the warm welcome. I just looked up some meetup groups in the area, there are quite a few. Are there any you would recommend I check out?

Welcome Sarah! I'm a newbie investor and new to BP as well. Here's some info on a REIA in NoVA in case you haven't heard about it yet.

I've been going to their meetings for the past few months. It's a good group. The next meeting is this Thursday. Maybe I'll see you there.

Hi Everyone,

I've been listening to the Podcasts for a few months now and thought it was finally time I got active on the website. I'm really excited to join the BP family!

A little bit of background about me--I'm an attorney primarily focusing on business litigation and I'm looking to transition to investing in real estate full time. I'm originally from Los Angeles, California but I've been living in the DMV area for the past 3 years; NoVA and DC.

My goal is to start off wholesaling properties. Once I get comfortable with the business I want to transition into flipping. I'm focusing on a few mile radius around North Capitol and Rhode Island on both the NW and NE side. If you have any advice, need any help, or just want to say hi, please do so. I would love to connect with both newbies and seasoned investors. Again, if there's any way I can help you, please let me know.

Cheers to following your passion!
