So the agent would pay me a finders fee for bringing them a buyer? I am just trying to understand how this scenerio works. The reason i asked is because i advertised looking for deals to refer to my buyers and i would split my fee 50/50 with the person who sent me the lead, then the agent contacts me and says they can send me leads on properties so now i'm wondering how would the payment agreement work between us. Would i get paid from my buyer then pay them the 50/50 fee split or does the agent pay me a finders fee for bringing them a buyer?

An agent came to me offering to send me leads on properties, how does this work being that I am a property locator getting a finders fee from the cash buyer? How would the payment agreement work between the agent and I?

Yes I do recieve my emails Josh, Thats what I was trying to say pop up alerts would be nice to have!! Pleasssseeee consider adding that and the sms text alerts josh :) I am trying to get my business kicked off and I am getting some of my connections from here so it would help me reply faster to possible business partners and I'm sure others feel that way too so please consider it, thanks!!

Yes, i do check the topics i want to monitor but the only alerts i get on my home page are colleague request and messages, i never get an alert when i have a response to my topics. I do get email notifications but if im on biggerpockets at the time i get a response it would be nice if they had an alert pop up at the top of the screen so I can check it right away instead of waiting to go to my profile or email to see if theres any changes. Also is there a way i can activate biggerpockets through my text messages on my cell? I only seen email notifications, can i be notified through sms text? That would be an awesome way to get alerts too.

What i meant to say was really at the top of the site that way no matter what we are doing on the site if someone replies to our topics or someone else's topic we posted on we would get an alert notification and would be able to see it so we can reply faster if we wanted to. That would be a nice feature to the site.

We have notifications go to our emails, but wouldnt it be great if we had notification alerts on our home page?! I know we have it for messages and colleague request but we also need them for activity on our topics and post. Like everytime someone replys to our topics or another topic we posted on we get an alert notification. Something simular to Facebook notifications, if u have a facebook page you should know what I'm talking about. Josh we would love to have notifications like that, hope you can look into it soon!

Thats right charles, I've built a nice size buyers list in my area i just need the properties to present to them. I am a single mother of 3 that works long hours and dont have as much time to put into looking for properties as i would like to. I have started marketing to real estate businesses for leads, hopefully the responses will come in soon. In the mean time I am finding properties online for wholesalers and investors. I plan on expanding to wholesaling and eventually buying my own.

Best one IMO is the StraightTalk phones. Service is better than all the big time companies and cheaper than the rest unlimited talk, text and web $50/mth, cant beat that! Buy the phone and then you buy your service card every month, walmart sells them.

thanks v, never thought of building a buyers list like that! i have a pretty good buyers list but can always find more :) I wanted to research seller finance note holders and search for other ways to find sellers just dont know exact wording to look up. Also looking for bird dogs to work with nationwide. Have buyers just need to find motivated sellers! The more i read the forums the more i learn something new everyday, i love this site :)
