I have searched the archives and can't seem to find anything other than a few people suggesting looking on loopnet.

Where do you search for apartment complexes (5+) for sale in your area?  What kind of real estate agent would you use to purchase one?

Any advice is appreciated!

I keep seeing people saying they use PayPal and Venmo.  What happens if a tenant claims fraud?  You can claim fraudulent charge for up to 90 days on PayPal.  Unless you are running a Business account they will automatically side with the tenant and refund the last 90 days of payments.  Obvious solution for PayPal is get a business account.  Do you all have business accounts with PayPal? Does Venmo even have a business account option?  Does Cozy have any issues like this?

Thank you all for the responses, very much appreciated!

Hi all, I am currently out of the country for 7 months or so for my job.  My job allows for a lot of free time and I would like to get my real estate license.  Are there any reputable sites to get a real estate license online?  Or should I just wait until I get back home and do a class in person?

Thank you for any help!

I recently bought my first investment property in east Austin.  Original house was already demo'd by the seller.  I plan on putting 2 houses on the property, the first I plan to sell and the second I plan on renting out (property is zoned for this).  Sq ft is 1700 on the first house and 1100 on the second house.  Plans are drawn up and I have gotten my builder to give me a bid.  Next I will submit the plans to the city for approval.

Any advice or things I should know for a first timer?  Best places to pick out flooring, fixtures, appliances, etc at the best prices?  Any advice is appreciated!
