Scott I like your idea bruh and when I get back, I think that will be the next move. It will cut the debt by 1/3 estimated- and probably raise my credit score by as much 20. Then of course there’s the remaining 2/3.....

I want to thank you for your well grounded advice. I know that is what it takes but I am hoping for something alternative. Great effort and time are things I would willingly give when the situation present. Right now I’m 8k miles from home giving my time and effort to something else. I would really like to find a way to fix my issues but it’s complicated to try and serve two masters.

Getting a second job requires time that I don’t have. I am active duty. My debts is due to a sick wife. I wish I could just get a second job but that’s what I need. I need to create a second income and passively seems like it would work for me. I still have the first property that I bought in 2009 and doing my best to keep it but It’s not enough.   Is everyone saying there’s only one solution for me?

Ryan, nice to meet you. My name is Tim and I own SFR in Blue Creek Farms. I am seeking to get into REI too. I am trying to figure out how to get another one in that area. At least another SFR or a duplex. Would like to try and use VA again. We should talk.

Jerry thanks for your input. I was hoping to use REI to fix my situation. More money is what I need. Are you saying REI is not the way to do this?

Hello BP members. I'm Tim, I am a military man currently in GA by way of Queens NY. My interest in REI is to at least supplement my retirement pension in the future and to have something of my own to grow.

I bought a house in 2009 using the VA guarantee. The house is now rented through a PM and has been so since 2013. That is the extent of my REI experience.

I am seeking advice. I need a route to take that I can use to break into the market. Given that I am carrying heavy debt but still holding a 600 credit score. Without my debts, I would have $2500 available each month. Can I find a deal that will payoff my debts and secure a good future?
