@Adam Gollatz thanks for your opinion and info. I have to agree with you to an extent on not touching retirement accounts. Ive known a few idiots who have done it to purchase boats, trucks, vacations etc. So for that purpose, you’re just shooting yourself in the foot. I have borrowed against it once before to buy stocks in a personal brokerage account and that turned into a mini gold mine. Thanks again for your response and wisdom...

I’m seriously considering borrowing less than 10% of my 401k for the down payments on 3 investment rental properties. I’ll be paying myself back at 4%. Thoughts/ experiences?

I’d like to hear people’s thoughts on obtaining a second loan to avoid using out of pocket money for a down payment on a long term investment property... I’m very new to real estate investing, so any advice is appreciated.
