Planning on selling my fully occupied duplex in OKC. Trying to figure out the expectations that my renters can have with the new landlord.

Both sides have leases with at least 6-8 months left, does the new Landlord have to honor that lease without raising rents until they end?

Thanks

@Kathy Henley thank you so much for your response! Very helpful and informative!

I  am planning on selling  my duplex in OKC, I have been self managing it, and have  two current leases that aren't even half way through their lease. They're great renters.

I'm trying to navigate how I should communicate with them that I am planning to put it on the market.

There is nothing in our lease about this scenario.

I would love to hear some feedback on how to do this well.

Is there an expectation of needing to offer to allow them out of the lease before I sell?

Looking forward to help!
