Hi! Is anyone here that owns or knows of a lake home for sale or a rent to own option that is within 1hr of Birmingham please respond. On the house hunt but not finding any deals on the MLS in our price range so I'm hoping someone here may know or something. Birmingham, Alabama by the way! Thanks!

@Gilbreth Seno Welcome! I live in Birmingham, AL and would love to connect with you and be your eyes here. My newly formed business helps out of town investors know the ins and outs before making a investment.

Welcome and congrats in advance on your first property! You will get great advice here!

@Tom V. I'm glad you posted this! Ive wondered the same. I recently started a business in my area where I give out of state investors the ins and outs, photos, and etc on the area and they decide from there. For a nominal fee. Companies and realtors can sometimes exaggerate to secure a deal. I've seen it...

I've been here in Birmingham 31 years. I've also grew up in the A & B areas so I know the good and bad. Thanks so much for asking this because I have been actually afraid of buying turnkey.

I use it all the time and yes they do have problems. Look into using the Landbank for tax delinquent properties here. They help you acquire them with a clear title.

Wow. My husband and I have been looking for a waterfront home for years. Can you PM me your leasing amount?

Anyhow...I don't know if we need 6500 SF but we have 4 kids lol... Have you tried social media marketing, Zillow, etc?
